Practical, easy-to-understand solutions to your complex year-end payroll issues

You can’t afford to make payroll mistakes, and that’s especially true when it comes to year-end planning and reporting. This end-of-year season will be more difficult, as the IRS has dropped the mandatory e-filing threshold for information returns to an aggregate of 10 returns, from 250. The new aggregation rule requires you to add up all your information returns from all departments to see if the 10-form threshold is met. This means all departments with tax-filing obligations must be on the same page because the penalties for failing to e-file are also going up.

Another challenge is that the data needed for state W-2 reporting may be more difficult to gather this year from far-flung employees. States are again cracking down on employers that haven’t withheld.

On November 14, learn about all the new changes and the steps necessary to get year-end planning right. Along with critical compliance advice, receive a copy of our Payroll Checklist, a step-by-step guide to each pay period, month and calendar quarter.

This webinar is incredibly timely because penalties for mistakes on year-end forms have more than doubled. Simple, avoidable errors can lead to thousands in tax penalties and unwanted attention on you and your department.
